13-Year-Old Boy Faces Charges Following Stabbing in East Windsor, Police Say

A 13-year-old boy has been charged following a stabbing incident in east Windsor that left a 16-year-old teenager injured, according to Windsor police.

Officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Jefferson Boulevard near the E.C. Row Expressway at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday. When they arrived, they located a 16-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds.

Victim Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

Emergency responders transported the injured teenager to hospital. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Following the investigation, officers determined that the stabbing occurred during a fight involving the two teenagers.

Suspect Arrested and Charges Laid

Investigators allege that the accused used an edged weapon during the altercation, resulting in injuries to the victim. Police noted that the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.

About 90 minutes after the stabbing, officers arrested the suspect at a residence in east Windsor.

The 13-year-old has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Failure to comply with a release order
