Payments can be moved to an earlier business day when the regular date falls on a weekend or federal holiday.
SSI Payment Schedule for the Rest of 2026
SSI payments are generally issued on the first day of each month. However, when that date falls on a weekend or holiday, the SSA sends the payment on the previous business day.
For August 2026, the first day of the month fell on a Saturday. As a result, the August SSI payment was issued early on Friday, July 31, 2026.
