Wildfires Could Delay Some Mailed Benefit Cheques

The CRA has advised that wildfires have caused delays to a small number of benefit cheques delivered by mail in affected regions.

Direct deposit payments are not affected and should continue to arrive according to the normal schedule.

Recipients waiting for a mailed cheque are advised to allow five to 10 business days after the scheduled payment date before reporting the payment as missing.
