Two Men Found Guilty of Killing Daniel Langlois and Dominique Marchand in Dominica

Two men have been convicted of murdering Canadian animation pioneer Daniel Langlois and his partner, Dominique Marchand, in Dominica.

According to Radio-Canada, Jonathan Lehrer and Robert Snyder were found guilty on Tuesday at a courthouse in Roseau, the capital of the Caribbean nation.

The jury reportedly deliberated for only a few hours before reaching its verdict.

Couple Found Dead in Burnt-Out Vehicle

Langlois and Marchand were discovered dead inside a burned vehicle in Dominica in December 2023.

The couple had lived in the Caribbean country since 1997 and had established a life there for more than two decades before their deaths.

Daniel Langlois Was a Computer Animation Pioneer

Langlois achieved international recognition through his company, Softimage, which developed groundbreaking three-dimensional animation software.

The technology produced by Softimage was used in major Hollywood films, including Jurassic Park, helping transform visual effects and computer-generated animation within the film industry.

The convictions of Jonathan Lehrer and Robert Snyder mark a major development in the case involving the deaths of Daniel Langlois and Dominique Marchand.
